Frequently asked questions
Who We Are Looking For?
We are seeking highly motivated students and postdocs to join our lab for various research projects (see the list of available projects, or feel free to propose your own ideas related to our research topics). For postdocs, a list of funding opportunities can be found.
What Do You Need to Join Us?
We are looking for creative and enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn and innovate. While high computational skills are essential, you do not need to be an experienced programmer to join our lab—we will help you develop those skills. If you are curious, not afraid of computers, and passionate about solving challenging questions, we’d love to have you.
We value independent thinkers and problem solvers who are willing to take on new challenges and embrace learning.

What Will Be Your Working Tools?
Your primary tools will be remote sensing technologies and computational resources. Students will use programming languages such as Python, R, Fortran, MATLAB, and IDL to develop models and analyze data. GIS platforms like ArcGIS or QGIS may also be used. You will work with data from spectral, thermal, LiDAR, and hyperspectral sensors derived from satellites, drones, in-situ sensors (proximal sensing), and other advanced systems. Fieldwork may be required for some projects, including the use of our unique drone system.

What Do We Expect You to Achieve?
We expect our students to approach their research with creativity and enthusiasm. You will be encouraged to present your findings at national and international conferences and publish your work in high-impact scientific journals.
